HRS §88-134

Retirement pay for former armed forces members

This section says that if you left the armed forces and meet the rules in the other listed sections, you can get a service retirement benefit. The benefit is calculated using those same sections and includes any service credit you kept under the Servicemen's Act.

The statute, as written — Service retirement benefit

If a service member has terminated the service member's service with the armed forces and otherwise complies with the requirements of sections 88-73, 88-281, or 88-331, as applicable, the service member shall be entitled to a service retirement benefit to be computed as provided in sections 88-74, 88-282, or 88-332, as applicable, including and taking into consideration the service credit preserved and allowed to the service member by the Servicemen's Act.
