Parents and guardians must not let young children be alone on public streets

Any parent or guardian, having the care, custody and control of a child under the age of six years, who knowingly, voluntarily, or carelessly permits such child to go or remain on any public street or highway in the County unaccompanied by an adult person when the child is not going to or from schools, public or private, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5 and not more than $100. Article 2. Intoxicating Liquors.
