HCC §14-166
County is not responsible for private roads it helps fix
Read the official text at hawaiicounty.gov ↗This section says that when the County helps improve or repair a private road, it does not take over the road or promise it is safe. The County also does not accept the road as a public road and does not agree to do more work on it later.
