(a) The following types of fireworks permits are available to the public: (1) Consumer fireworks. (A) Permits for the purchase and use of firecrackers, during designated periods, on New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day; Chinese New Year’s Day, and the Fourth of July, pursuant to section 17-2-42. (B) Permits for the purchase and use of consumer fireworks for cultural purposes, other than during designated periods on New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year’s Day, and the Fourth of July, pursuant to section 17-2-43. (2) Aerial devices, display fireworks, and articles pyrotechnic. Permits to purchase, set off, ignite, discharge, or otherwise cause to explode aerial devices, display fireworks, and articles pyrotechnic, pursuant to section (b) Permits not required. Consumer fireworks other than firecrackers may be set off, ignited, discharged, or otherwise caused to explode within the County without a permit during the following periods: (1) 9:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve to 1:00 a.m. on New Year's Day; (2) 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Chinese New Year's Day; and (3) 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the Fourth of July.
