Rules for getting and using a fireworks permit

This section sets the basic rules for fireworks permits. Only adults can get one, and permits cannot be given to someone else. A permit lasts for one calendar year, but you can only use fireworks at the exact place, date, and time listed on it, and you must show the permit where people can see it.

(a) A permit may only be issued to a person eighteen years of age or older. (b) Permits are nontransferable. (c) Permits are valid for a period beginning on January 1 and ending December 31. In no case shall the period of a permit exceed one year. The date of issuance or effect and the date of expiration shall be noted on the permit. (d) Permits are valid only when the fireworks are used at the site, on the date, and during the time indicated on the permit.
