Appealing a taxicab permit refusal to circuit court

You must file your appeal within 30 days of the refusal. Filing an appeal does not pause the refusal.

Any applicant who has been refused a taxicab driver’s permit after at least three examinations, or who has been refused any examination, may appeal the refusal to the circuit court by filing a petition in the court within thirty days of the date of the refusal. The appeal shall not operate as a stay to the order or decision appealed from. The appeal shall be subject to the procedure and rules prescribed by the court. Division 3. Taximeters and Fares.
