(a) Every side opening between the driver’s seat and the rear shall be screened with metal screen of not more than one and three-fourths inch mesh and not less than no. sixteen gauge, all to the satisfaction of the County department of finance. (b) This section shall not apply to any school bus equipped with safety glass windows which are permanently adjusted to permit not more than fifty percent of the top portion of the side openings from being opened.
