How county ordinances get their numbers

This section explains how the County clerk numbers every county ordinance. Each ordinance gets a number using the last two digits of the year it was adopted, followed by a hyphen and a number showing its order in that year. It is a simple rule for labeling official laws.

All ordinances of the County shall receive a number assigned by the County clerk consisting of the last two digits of the calendar year during which the ordinance was adopted, followed by a hyphen and a number corresponding to the order in which the ordinance was adopted during the calendar year.
