HCC §23-130
Minimum size rules for condo units
Read the official text at hawaiicounty.gov ↗This section sets the minimum width and length for a condo unit. The unit must meet the size rules for its zoning district, unless the county director allows a change. The director can approve a change if the whole development fits the zoning and meets planned unit development rules. Common areas can count toward this decision.

The width and length of a unit shall conform to the requirements for a building site established by the zoning district in question, except that the director may allow modification of dimensions if the director finds that the overall development is consistent with the zoning district, and that the project would meet the applicable criteria for a planned unit development. Common elements not included in a unit may be considered in making this determination. (2002, ord 02-111, sec 2.)23-130
