Read the official text at hawaiicounty.gov ↗After a preliminary map is approved, the subdivider has one year to survey the land and make a final map that matches the approved plan. The final map must be submitted to the director with a general layout map. The director can extend the deadline for good reason, and the filing date is when the director receives everything.
