Bond required for subdivision work

(a) The agreement as specified in section 23-82 shall be secured by a good and sufficient surety bond (other than personal surety), certified check or other security acceptable to the director and approved by the corporation counsel, in the sum equal to the cost of all the work required to be done by the subdivider as estimated by the director of public works and the manager, if the subdivision is within the scope of the department of water supply requirements. The surety bond shall be payable to the County and when appropriate to the department of water supply. The bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of any and all work required to be done by the subdivider. (b) The security shall be filed with the director and deposited with the County treasurer as a realization in whole or part for the completion of work, or correction of any defective or improper work called for in the original plan.
