Drive at a safe speed for the conditions

This rule says you must not drive faster than what is safe and sensible for the current road, weather, and traffic conditions. It applies to all drivers on any highway in the county, unless other parts of this law say otherwise.

Subject to the limitations set forth in this chapter, no person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent under the conditions then existing.
