Lights and reflectors required on pole trailers

Pole trailers must have specific lights and reflectors so other drivers can see them. Each side needs an amber light and reflector near the front of the load. The rear support needs a combination light that shows amber in front and red in back and on the side.

(a) Pole trailers shall have: (1) On each side, one amber side marker lamp at or near the front of the load; (2) One amber reflector at or near the front of the load; and (3) On the rearmost support for the load, one combination marker lamp showing amber to the front and red to the rear and side, mounted to indicate maximum width of the pole trailer.
