How to figure out where zoning district lines are

It gives rules for following streets, lot lines, city limits, shorelines, and waterways. If the map is still unclear, the county director decides the boundary.

Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of any of the districts as shown on the zoning map, the following rules shall apply: (1) Boundaries indicated as approximately following the center lines of streets, highways, or alleys shall be construed to follow the center lines; (2) Boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed as following the lot lines; (3) Boundaries indicated as approximately following city limits shall be construed as following city limits; (4) Boundaries indicated as following the shoreline shall be construed to follow high water lines, and in the event of change in the shoreline shall be construed as moving with the actual high water lines; boundaries indicated as approximately following the center lines of streams, rivers, canals, lakes, or other bodies of water shall be construed to follow the center lines; (5) Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated in paragraphs (1) through (4) of this section shall be so construed. Distances not specifically indicated on the zoning map shall be determined by the director scaling the distance on the zoning map. (6) Where physical or cultural features existing on the ground vary from those shown on the zoning map or in other circumstances not covered by paragraphs (1) through (4) of this section, the director shall determine the location of such boundaries.
