HCC §25-3-8How building lines and future street lines affect your property
Read the official text at hawaiicounty.gov ↗This section explains that when the county marks a building line or a future street line on the zoning map, those lines change how you measure your front yard and what counts as your property. If a future street line is drawn, the area between that line and the street is treated as street right-of-way, not your yard. You must follow these lines when planning any building.
