Size and height limits for accessory dwelling units

An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) can be no larger than 1,250 square feet of living space, not counting a lanai, garage, or carport. It also cannot be taller than the height limit for the zone where it is built.

An accessory dwelling unit shall not exceed one thousand two hundred and fifty square feet in living area, exclusive of any lanai, garage, or carport, and further shall not exceed the height limit for the zoning district in which the building site is situated.
