Getting a permit before putting up a sign

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person, firm or agency may display, install, construct, erect, alter, relocate, reconstruct, or cause to be displayed, installed, constructed, erected, altered, relocated, or reconstructed any sign without first having obtained a sign permit in accordance with this chapter. (b) Sign permits shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the site during the progress of installation and shall be kept on the premises where the sign is located or at the principal place of business of the sign owner.
