What to do if you catch a stray dog

(a) Every person other than an officer as defined hereinabove who takes into possession any stray dog shall within forty-eight hours notify the animal control and protection agency and release the dog to the animal control and protection agency to be impounded and disposed of according to section 4-4-21. (b) There shall be a penalty of $10 for each violation of this section.
