The following appendices are hereby added to the International Building Code and made a part of this code, as set forth in full in this article: (1) Appendix M, Thatch Material on Exterior of Buildings – Protection Against Exposure Fires; (2) Appendix U, Hawai‘i Hurricane Sheltering Provisions for New Construction; (3) Appendix W, Hawai‘i Wind Design Provisions for New Construction; (4) Appendix X, Indigenous Hawaiian Architecture Structures.
