KCC §10-6.5Existing buildings and uses are protected from new rules
Read the official text at ecode360.com ↗This section says the new rules do not force you to immediately change buildings or uses that were already legal when the rules took effect. Routine maintenance that does not need a zoning permit is also not affected. Nonconforming buildings and uses are handled under other county rules.
