The purposes of this Article are to:Set minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of new buildings so that they may be constructed, operated, and maintained in a manner that minimizes the use of energy without constraining the building function or the comfort or productivity of the occupants; andProvide criteria for energy-efficient design and provide methods for determining compliance with these criteria.
