County Engineer Controls House Numbering

The County Engineer is in charge of numbering houses and buildings in areas where the County Council has adopted a numbering plan and told the public about it. This section only gives that authority and duty. It does not set rules for property owners.

The County Engineer shall have the power and it shall be his or her duty to regulate the numbering of all houses and buildings in any portion of the County of Kaua'i for which a house numbering plan is or may be adopted by the County Council and public notice thereof given.
