How to put house numbers on your building

If you own a house or building in the numbering plan, you must put the assigned numbers where they can be seen from the road. The numbers must be a contrasting color, at least 3 inches tall, and permanently attached. New or moved buildings must get numbers within 10 days after completion or moving.

All owners of houses and buildings within the house numbering plan shall within thirty (30) days after adoption of the house numbering plan, install or affix to the house or building the numbers applicable thereto in a manner as to be readily visible from the road. The numbers shall be placed at the entrance of a driveway and on the house or building when the house or building is more than twenty-five (25) feet from the road. The numbers shall be of a contrasting color from the background on which they are placed, at least three (3) inches in height, securely affixed in a permanent manner and shall not be readily effaceable.Owners of houses and buildings erected or moved to new locations shall be required to be numbered under the provisions of Section 15-3.4(a) and shall within ten (10) days after completion of the construction or moving thereof apply for and install or place numbers applicable thereto in the manner provided for the numbering of existing houses and buildings.
