Rules for towing trailers and other vehicles

When one vehicle tows another vehicle or a trailer, the connection must be strong enough to handle the weight and must not be longer than 15 feet, except for long items like poles or pipes that can't be taken apart.

When one (1) vehicle is towing another vehicle, or a trailer, the drawbar or other connection shall be of sufficient strength to pull all weight towed thereby and the drawbar or other connection shall not exceed fifteen (15) feet from one (1) vehicle to the other except that the connection may be longer between any two (2) vehicles transporting poles, pipes, machinery, or other objects of a structural nature as cannot readily be dismembered.
