Rules for riding in trucks and cargo areas

No person shall ride on any portion of a vehicle not designated or intended for the use of passengers.Persons riding within truck bodies in space intended for merchandise shall sit on the floor bed when vehicle is in motion. Standing up or riding on rails or edges of the cargo area is prohibited when vehicle is in motion.This Section shall not apply to an employee engaged in the necessary discharge of his or her duty.
