County Engineer's Powers for Traffic Calming

The County Engineer may:Receive written requests from the public pursuant to this Article for the placement or removal of traffic calming measures on County streets.Prepare or have prepared for the Department, an engineering study documenting safety concerns, traffic concerns, and alternative traffic calming measures.Request a resolution from the County Council to install or remove traffic calming measures.Install or remove traffic calming measures on County streets in accordance with this Chapter and any rules and regulations promulgated by the Department of Public Works, pursuant to Council resolution.
