County fixes un-restored excavations and bills the permit holder

If someone digs and doesn't fill or fix the hole as required, the County Engineer can have the repairs done. The permit holder must pay for those repairs. The repairs can include fixing the ground, re-digging and refilling, and repairing or replacing public structures.

In the case of any excavation which has not been backfilled or restored in accordance with the provisions of this Article, the County Engineer shall make or cause to be made, the necessary repairs and the expenses thereof shall be charged to and collected from the permit holder. Repairs shall include, but not be limited to, the restoration of the foundation and surface, re-excavation and backfilling of excavations, repairs to any public structure and replacement of any public structure not properly restored.
