Camping permits for Lydgate Park and when they are issued

You need a camping permit from the county parks department to camp, set up a tent, or build temporary sleeping quarters in Lydgate Park's camping area. Overnight fishing does not need a permit unless you use a numbered campsite. Permits are only issued during certain weekday hours.

Any person who camps, erects a tent or constructs any temporary sleeping quarters in the Lydgate Park camping area shall first obtain a camping permit from the Department of Parks and Recreation or any other authorized County agency. No permit shall be required for overnight fishing within the Lydgate Park camping area unless the person is using one of the designated campsites numbered one (1) through thirty-one (31) on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B.Exhibit BPermits shall be issued during the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from the Department of Parks and Recreation or other agency that is designated by the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
