Fines for letting animals roam and fence breaking

This section sets fines for people who break animal laws in this part of the county code. Anyone convicted of breaking these rules must pay a fine and cover impounding costs. It also punishes people who deliberately break fences or let animals loose to cause damage.

Any person convicted of violating any provision of this Article shall be fined in a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) and shall pay all impounding expenses.Any person who maliciously and designedly opens a gateway or breaks a fence to cause or permit any horse, mule, ass, swine, sheep, goat or cattle to become an estray, or any person who maliciously and designedly drives, leads or leaves any animal upon public roads or public grounds so that the animal may commit a trespass, shall for every offense be fined under the penalty provided in Subsection (a) of this Section and no penalty shall be imposed upon the owner of the animals.
