This section sets the penalties for anyone who violates Section 20-7.3. For a first offense, the fine is up to $1,000, jail up to 30 days, or both. If you have two or more prior convictions for the same offense within one year, the fine is up to $2,000, jail up to one year, or both.

Any person who violates Section 20-7.3, shall be penalized as follows:For a first offense, the person shall pay a fine of no more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or serve a term of imprisonment of no more than thirty (30) days, or both; orFor an offense that occurs within one (1) year of two (2) or more prior convictions for the same offense, the person shall pay a fine of no more than two thousand dollars ($2,000) or serve a term of imprisonment of no more than one (1) year, or both.
