Penalty for drinking or having alcohol illegally

If you are caught drinking or having alcohol where this law says you can't, you can be convicted of a petty misdemeanor. The punishment can be up to 30 days in jail and/or a fine up to $1,000.

Any person who consumes or possesses intoxicating liquor in violation of any provision of this Article shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a petty misdemeanor punishable by up to thirty (30) days of imprisonment and/or a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
