County inspection of sewer construction work

The County Engineer can inspect sewage work during construction and may require a full-time inspector. You must not cover or backfill sewer work until the County Engineer approves it after inspection and testing. If work is not approved, you must fix or redo it as directed.

During the construction of all sewage works the County Engineer shall have access thereto for inspection purposes and, if in his or her discretion, the County Engineer shall deem it advisable may require an inspector on the job continuously. At no time shall sewer work be backfilled or covered until the County Engineer has been notified and has given his or her approval after proper inspection and testing. If the work is not approved, it shall be repaired or removed and reconstructed, as directed by the County Engineer.
