How seized money must be spent

All monies received shall be used solely for the Kaua'i Police Department for law enforcement purposes as delineated in the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984 (P.L. 98-473) and "The Attorney General's Guidelines on Seized and Forfeited Property," dated May 24, 1985, and as thereafter may be amended.All monies shall be appropriated by budget ordinance or amendment to the budget ordinance, following procedures established in the Charter.
