When planning, designing, or building a subdivision, you must work to keep the natural beauty and environment of the county. This means saving important natural features like hills, plants, animals, and views, and making sure any new development fits in with the surroundings.

Appearance.Subdivisions shall be planned, designed and constructed to preserve the natural environment and scenic beauty of the County.Specific consideration shall be given to preservation of natural topography such as drainage swales, rock outcroppings, slopes, areas of natural beauty particularly areas of scenic or environmental importance or value and areas of historic or scientific interest; to preservation of existing flora and fauna; to retention of major land forms, and to preservation of important vistas.Subdivisions shall be planned, designed and constructed to provide optimum open space to create man-made environment for use or occupance compatible and harmonious with the natural environment.
