This section lets police officers ride the County bus system without paying a fare, as long as they are on duty and have proper identification. It applies to both uniformed and non-uniformed officers.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this article, uniformed and nonuniformed officers of the police department carrying proper identification, and with a police purpose, shall be allowed to use the County bus system without paying any fare. (Ord. No. 3628, § 1, 2009)
