MCC §12.04.020

County Highways: Permit Required

Read the official text at library.municode.com ↗

This section says you need a written permit from the county's public works department before digging or disturbing any county road, street, sidewalk, or public place. Emergency sewer or water repairs can start without a permit, but you must apply for one as soon as possible. The permit process includes filing plans, getting insurance, and possibly posting a bond.
