How to ask for a variance from sign rules

In cases where strict enforcement of this chapter would involve a practical difficulty
or unnecessary hardship, and where desirable relief may be granted without detriment
to public interest, convenience, or welfare of motorists traversing on the adjoining
highway or street, a request for variance may be submitted to the board of adjustment
and appeals of the county.
