If the county assigns a street number to your building, you must get the number from the county and put it up within 30 days. The number must be visible from the road, at least 2 inches tall, and in a contrasting color. If the building is hidden, put the number on a post or mailbox near the driveway.

All owners of buildings and property for which a street number or numbers have been assigned by the department of public works and environmental management shall apply to the office of the department of public works and environmental management for the assigned number or numbers applicable to each building on the property, and shall, within thirty days after assignment of the street number or numbers, install on or affix to each building the number or numbers applicable thereto in such a manner as to be readily seen from the roadway. Such numbers shall be of a different color from the background on which they are placed and shall be at least two inches in height. The numbers shall be affixed in a substantial and permanent manner and shall not be readily effaceable. If a building is not visible from the roadway, the number shall also be placed on a post, mailbox, or other object near the property's driveway using numbers at least two inches in height in a color that can be readily seen.
