This section explains how to ask for neighborhood watch signs. You must submit a written application with certain details, get it signed by specific people, and meet a participation requirement. The county then has a set time to install the signs.

A. Requests for neighborhood watch signs shall be by submission to the director of a written application setting forth: 1. The boundaries of the neighborhood; 2. The number of signs requested; 3. The approximate location of each sign. B. The application shall be signed by an authorized representative of the neighborhood watch program and an authorized officer of the department of police. C. No request for the placement of signs shall be approved by the director unless sixty percent of the homes within the neighborhood participate in the neighborhood watch program. D. The director shall install a neighborhood watch sign within sixty days of approval. E. The director shall comply with the applicable sign provisions of chapter 16.12A . (Ord. 2196 § 1 (part), 1992)
