This section says how to ask the county for a speed hump. You must send a written request naming the road and include signed permission from most nearby property owners. The county director decides the exact distance for counting owners.

A. No request for a speed hump shall be approved by the director unless a written application setting forth the following is provided: 1. The County highway on which the speed hump is to be placed; 2. The consent of at least eighty percent of the property owners whose respective properties abut the County highway within a distance determined by the director, from the proposed speed hump. 3. Where a speed hump is to be placed on a specific block, the consent of at least eighty percent of the property owners whose respective properties abut the County highway within the specific block.
