When the County will maintain old government roads

Subject to the availability of appropriations, the director may provide surface maintenance,
by either remedial patching, resurfacing, or paving, for those portions of old government
roads which have been determined by the director, in his discretion, to meet the following
criteria:
A.
They are part of an old government road as defined in section 12.50.030 ;
B.
They are not excluded from the applicability of this chapter by section 12.50.020.B;
C.
They are necessary for public vehicular transportation;
D.
They do not suffer such design defects as to make their use hazardous to the general
public;
E.
Maintenance by the County will be practicable, cost efficient, effective, and safe;
and
F.
Maintenance by the County is necessary to protect the safety of motorists, bicyclists,
and pedestrians, or is otherwise in the public interest.
