Repair and replacement of subdivision water system improvements

Before the county accepts a subdivision's water system, the subdivider must sign an agreement and provide a surety bond or other approved security. This guarantees repairs and replacements for one year after the county accepts the system. The bond must be at least 10% of the estimated improvement cost.

Prior to acceptance by the department, the subdivider shall enter into an agreement with the department and shall file with the department a surety bond or other approved security to insure the repair and replacement of subdivision water system improvements in accordance with standards acceptable to the department for a period of one year from the date of dedication to and acceptance by the department. The amount of the surety bond or other approved security shall be at least 10 percent of the cost of the improvements as estimated by the department. (Ord. No. 3730, § 1, 2010)
