Agricultural water users during a water shortage

During a declared water shortage, the County must ask farms and other agricultural water users to cut back, but cannot force them to follow the same mandatory restrictions as other customers for the first 180 days after the shortage is publicly announced. After that, they must follow the same rules as everyone else.

A. If there is a water shortage declaration, agricultural water consumers must be requested to reduce water consumption but must not be required to implement any restrictions or mandates imposed by section 14.06A.060 for the first one hundred eighty days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the County. B. After the one hundred eighty days provided in subsection A, agricultural water consumers must be subject to the same provisions as other consumers. ( Ord. No. 5545 , § 1, 2023; Ord.
