Reporting violations and repeat testing

If your own testing shows a violation, you must tell the director within 24 hours and re-test within 30 days. You don't have to re-test if the director already checks your facility monthly or samples in between.

If sampling performed by a user indicates a violation, the user must notify the director within twenty-four hours of becoming aware of the violation. The user shall also repeat the sampling and analysis and submit the results of the repeat analysis to the director within thirty days after becoming aware of the initial violation. The user is not required to re-sample if the director monitors the user's facility at least once each month, or if the director samples between the user's initial sampling and when the user receives the results of the initial sampling.
