The State Fire Code as adopted by the State of Hawaiʻi on January 20, 2023, as required
by Section 132-3, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, which adopts, with modifications, the
NFPA 1, Fire Code, 2021 Edition, ("NFPA 1") as published and copyrighted by the National
Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, P.O. Box 9101, Quincy, Massachusetts
02169-9101 is made a part of this chapter, subject to the amendments in this chapter.
