Fire protection rules for existing buildings only

Subsection 13.1 of the NFPA 1, as amended by the State Fire Code, is amended by deleting
the exception to 13.1.
13.1 Fire protection systems general. This chapter's provisions do not apply for new construction. For new construction
see the building code. Existing buildings must be maintained to the requirements to
which it was built unless specifically indicated it applies to existing facilities.
