Maximum water pressure for fire service mains

This rule sets a limit on the water pressure in fire service mains. The pressure must not be higher than 175 psi. This helps ensure firefighting equipment works safely.

Section 18.5 of the NFPA 1, as amended by the State Fire Code, is amended by adding a new subsection to be designated subsection 18.5.1.7 to read as follows: 18.5.1.7 The static pressure for fire service mains must not exceed 175 psi. ( Ord. No. 5754 , § 3, 2024)
