Section 50.4 of the NFPA 1, as amended by the State Fire Code, is amended by adding a new subsection to be designated subsection 50.4.10.2.3 to read as follows: 50.4.10.2.3 All new fire suppression systems protecting commercial cooking appliances and hood exhaust systems must be tested with the balloon method for acceptance testing or as approved by the AHJ.
