Chapter 14 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is deleted in its entirety and replaced with
the following:
1401.0 General.
1401.1 Applicability. Piping penetrations of required fire-resistance-rated walls, partitions, floors,
floor/ceiling assemblies, roof/ceiling assemblies, or shaft enclosures must be protected
in accordance with the requirements of the building code.
