The "International Building Code, 2018 Edition", herein referred to as the "International
Building Code", "Building Code", "IBC", or "this code," as copyrighted and published
in 2017 by the International Code Council, Inc., 500 New Jersey Avenue, 6th Floor,
Washington, DC 20001, is incorporated by reference and made a part hereof, subject
to the amendments set forth in this chapter, as enacted and as may be amended. If
a subsequent edition of the International Building Code becomes an interim Building
Code in accordance with the provisions of the Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, all replacements,
amendments, additions, and deletions made in this ordinance shall remain in full force
and effect, and the authority having jurisdiction will determine how to best apply
those replacements, amendments, additions, and deletions to the interim code.
